Prince of Wolves

Prince of Wolves - Quinn Loftis I enjoyed this book. Parts of this book seemed to drag, but the pros outweighed the cons in my opinion. I enjoyed the humor of all the girls in this book. I will continue on with this series.

Scarlet

Scarlet - Marissa Meyer I loved Scarlet! Scarlet is an awesome sequel to Cinder. Cinder is still involved in the second book and is trying to escape. She meets Thorne and he helps her to escape. I love how the character of Scarlet is introduced and intertwined within Cinder's story. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

13 Little Blue Envelopes

13 Little Blue Envelopes - Maureen Johnson This book was very good! I loved reading about her journey! She met a bunch of interesting people along the way. I love the idea of this book. I can't wait to read the next one!

Ruby Red

Ruby Red - Kerstin Gier I really enjoyed Ruby Red and the idea of time traveling. I still have a couple of questions that I hope are answered in the next book. It was interesting and unique. I truly liked this book very much. I could give it five stars, however, there are parts that can be better.

Animal Farm

Animal Farm - George Orwell, C.M. Woodhouse, Russell Baker "Animal Farm" is a fable of great symbolism. The novel can be seen as the historical analysis of the causes of the failure of communism, or as a mere fairy-tale; in any case it tells a good story that aims to prove that human nature and diversity prevent people from being equal and happy.

The farm animals rebel, drive out Mr. Jones, the farmer, and attempt to rule the farm themselves, on an equal basis. What the animals seem to have aimed at was a type of communism, where each would work according to his capacity, respecting the needs of others. The venture failed, and "Animal Farm" ended up being a dictatorship of pigs, who were the brightest, and most idle of the animals.

So, the animals create their Seven Commandments trying to create equality. The pigs, however, being the natural leaders, managed to reverse the commandments, and through terror and propaganda establish the rule of an elite of pigs. Was this a fairy-tale or the truth?

I've Got Your Number

I've Got Your Number - Sophie Kinsella Poppy Wyatt was celebrating her upcoming nuptials, when the fire alarm went off. When the drill was over, her ring was missing. She went to call someone and her phone was then snatched. She finds a phone in the trash can and it becomes her lifeline to the hotel finding her ring. The problem was that the phone belonged to Violet, personal assistant of businessman Sam Roxton and he wants it back. In the meantime, Poppy says finders, keepers and she's not ready to let this phone go. Sam agrees to let her borrow the phone.

Poppy tries to hide the fact her ring is missing, one that is her fiancé's family heirloom, numerous ways. She also agrees to help navigate messages received for Sam on her "new" phone. There were many funny moments. She started helping plan her own wedding even though she hired a wedding planner. There is a serious side, though, as her relationship gets tested and Poppy has to deal with some disappointments about Magnus.

I truly enjoy Sophie's writing style. She is a very good author. I wasn't disappointed while reading this book of after reading I've Got Your Number.

Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins I really enjoyed this book. This book had a solid storyline. The story was not confusing at all. Bits seemed to be repetitive, however it didn't bother me very much. I liked the characters in this book very much. I could relate to all of them. However, my favorite character would be Anna.

Can't wait to read the next in the series!

City of Bones

City of Bones - Cassandra Clare *4.5 stars*

I really enjoyed the first book in The Mortal Instruments series. I noticed that either people loved or hated this book. I am in the really like category. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns that take place in The City of Bones. I enjoyed Clare's writing style.

Can't wait to read the next book!

Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles)

Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles) - Gena Showalter I didn't know what to expect from this book. I thought that there was definitely going to be a connection between Alice in Wonderland in Alice in Zombieland. I was right, however I thought there was going to be a more obvious connection. This did not bother me though. I saw all of the connections that Gena Showalter made. I found the characters to be relatable as well. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Heist Society

Heist Society - Ally Carter I read the first book of Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series when I was younger and loved it. I was wanting to read another series by her.

The Heist Society was a great, quick read. It was full of twists and turns. The characters were unique and interesting. Of course there had to be some drama.

I am going to read the next one in the series to find out what happens to Kat.

I'll Give You the Sun

I'll Give You the Sun - Jandy Nelson I enjoyed the writing style of the book. I also enjoyed the alternating point of views. What was unique about switching between Noah and Jude was that there was a three year difference. Noah and Jude are twins so we got Noah's point of view when they were 13 and Jude's when they were 16. I also liked how the stories ended up linking together. I did have a few things that I disliked about this book, but the good outweighed the bad.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella I absolutely liked it. The main character was bubbly and hilarious, and all her little escapades made me laugh.

Rebecca Bloomwood is an expert in finance.. or is she? She is a finance journalist and is in serious debt. Ironic? She tries to back off of shopping.. But it is hard when there are sales all the time and she needs to enjoy herself once in awhile. Will she ever become serious about her finances?

Sophie Kinsella made Rebecca a little selfish, but at the same time she is someone that the reader can relate to. I really enjoyed Sophie Kinsella's writing style. Well, onto Shopaholic Takes Manhattan!

Matched

Matched - Ally Condie Matched is the type of book that hooks you from the beginning and keeps you wanting to read more. The society sacrifices so much of its individuality and freedom for the sake of efficiency and harmony.

Condie presents a world that seems safe and suffocating at the same time. She presents a character (Cassia) that wants to go along with what the society has set, but then starts to question whether or not the society is safe or not. She decides to push her limits and boundaries to have a say in how to contain and control her own life.

Matched has points that are repetitive, but that is how the society presents itself. The society has a set schedule for each of the members. There are set rules and set boundaries. Everything about Matched goes along with how Condie is presenting the society.

Matched may not be for everyone with the writing style and repetitiveness with some predictability. However, I really enjoyed Matched and I really liked the writing style of Ally Condie.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - Jesse Andrews ** 3.5 stars**
I have mixed feeling about this book. Parts of this book are hilarious, while other parts I don't really get the point of. The ending disappointed me. I thought it was just thrown together. I wanted to read this book before I found out that it was going to be a movie, but knowing that it was going to become a movie made me want to read it more. I will probably still go see the movie to see the difference between the movie and book like I normally do.

Cinder

Cinder - Marissa Meyer I enjoyed this book a lot! This book was a twist on Cinderella, however there was a big difference between Cinder and Cinderella. I enjoyed Marissa Meyer's writing style. I liked the technology references as well.

The ball ties in with Cinderella along with a stepmother and step sisters. However, one stepsister gets along with Cinder. Cinder can't go to the ball unless she does her chores (relates to Cinderella). The concept of Lunars was very interesting for me, plus Lunar glamour. The creator of Cinder thought so much through. Cinder is immune to the disease that is surrounding her. Cinder cares a lot and went back to save Iko. Prince Kai asked Cinder multiple times to go to the ball with him and she answered no every time. Cinder later receives a call warning her about Levana's plans. Cinder decides to go to the ball and let Prince Kai know about what was going on. Cinder did tell Kai some of what she knew. Kai was going to marry the queen for his country.

I enjoyed all the characters in Cinder and I am excited to read the next book in the series!

Four: A Divergent Story Collection

Four: A Divergent Story Collection - Veronica Roth I really enjoyed getting Four's perspective. With The Transfer, I enjoyed seeing how his aptitude test and what his result was, even if the result may have been altered. I also saw Tobias in a different way with him keeping a trunk that his mom gave him with multiple things of hers inside. He also made sure to keep one of them that she gave him safe and under his pillow. Four chose his faction. However, in the beginning, he didn't want to be a fighter and he didn't want to socialize with others. We see from Four's perspective when he finds out about the term divergent.

I knew from the other books that Tobias was offered a leadership role, but I didn't know the real reason why he didn't become a leader. It was interesting to see how he met his mom after seven years. I liked seeing where his back tattoo came from. I also learned that it was Eric's idea about the new initiation process. Four also was very resistant to the new process Max wanted to incorporate.

I enjoyed how in the fourth part of Four, Veronica Roth connected us to the beginning of Divergent. I enjoyed seeing Four's perspectives and Four's thoughts. We got to see how Four viewed the relationship between him and Tris. We really got a sense of how Four felt.

Throughout this story collection, there was a lot of foreshadowing to the other books in the trilogy, which I really enjoyed. I liked seeing Four's perspective, what he was like before he met Tris, and what he was like after he met Tris. I ENJOYED SEEING WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE ACTUALLY TRILOGY STARTED AND WHAT HAPPENED AS THE TRILOGY STARTS.
