I love to read! My favorite books to read are YA.
This book was alright. Parts I really liked and others I thought dragged on beyond belief. I liked the writing style and how I could picture exactly what the author was talking about. This would be why I gave it .5 more than I should
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I was going to. The beginning was slow, but I understand why the author made it that way. The suspense kept building and building. Great book and will definitely be reading the next one!
Kestrel is one of the main characters of this book. She goes out with her friend Jess and they end up being at a slave auction. Kestrel ends up buying a slave and using him. However, she doesn't know that the slave has a secret. She doesn't know that this was a setup and that she was meant to buy him. Kestrel ends up becoming closer with her slave, Arin. They begin to grow feelings for each other and then everything starts to change.
It took me awhile to get to this book, but I am glad that I finally read it. I really enjoyed the writing style. The only reason that I gave this book four stars was because of some of the parts being slow and some parts being confusing to understand.
Karou was brought up not knowing who she really was, everyone asked her and she really didn't have an answer. She knew that she was always around Brimstone and his shop.. She knew about magic, but she didn't know the real story or the whole story. She doesn't learn the truth until black hand prints start to come around her.
Will definitely be continuing with the series!
I thought this was a good second book to the trilogy. I am not sure where the third and final book is going to go.
Gwyn has only known about her ability to time travel for a few days. She starts to go on missions with Gideon. She is trying to establish her new life with her new ability. She also may be starting to fall for Gideon..
I enjoyed this book, however it just wasn't a 5 for me. Two things that I didn't like about this book included the ending and how quickly the two fell for each other.
Eleanor starts at a new school after moving with her family. Her stepfather doesn't like Eleanor and has even kicked her out before. Eleanor shows up for the first day to high school students being mean and not letting her set near them. Then she meets Park. Park finally gives in and lets her sit next to him. The two sit next to each other on the bus everyday and don't talk. Finally, Park starts bringing comics with him onto the bus and Eleanor starts to look over his shoulder to read them as well. This is where there relationship starts to change.
*3.5 stars*
I enjoyed this book and it was a quick read for me. This book though did remind me of some other books that I have read and that is why I rated this book 3.5 stars.
Ever was in a car accident with her family. Everyone died except her. She started at a new school and made new friends. One day a new boy, Damen comes into her life. She does everything not to be around him, but finally gives in. Ever and Damen become close, but Ever still remains suspicious of Damen. Ever ends up finding out the truth but is it what she expected?
This book was a solid 4 stars for me. The pacing was fine to me and the book was written well.
Jane and Scarlett go to Los Angeles to get away and start a new life. Jane is starting an internship and Scarlett is starting school at USC. The girls are trying to get used to this new lifestyle when they are approached about being on a reality TV show. The girls are hesitant at first by then decide to do it. Little did they know that this was going to change their lives so much. Of course there is some drama between some of the girls, but that is what reality TV is all about.
The following books are what I read in January:

-Shadow and Bone (This Grisha #1)by Leigh Bardugo
-The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
-Miss Mayhem (Rebel Belle #2)by Rachel Hawkins
-Confess by Colleen Hoover
-Eragon (Inheritance Cycle #1)by Christopher Paolini
-Fallen (Fallen #1)by Lauren Kate
This is my first book by this author. I really enjoyed her writing style. She had many twists and turns throughout the book that made the reader keep guessing what was going to happen.
This book starts off where the first one ended. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. I did enjoy some of the twists that happened though. Will be reading the third once it comes out
I enjoyed this book very much. The only problem that I had with this book was the pacing.. Parts seemed to be slow while others were quick. I will definitely be reading the second.
Luce starts at a new school after a problem at her old school. She comes across two boys that she is drawn to, Cam and Daniel. She feels as if she has known Daniel a long time, while Cam makes her feel appreciated. She goes back and forth between the two until she finds out the truth. Trouble seems to follow Luce.. The shadows and the deaths. A truce happens at the end between Cam and Daniel.. What does that mean for Luce?
This book has been on my to read list for a long time. I finally had time to read it. I liked this story, but parts seemed to drag for me. I also liked the characters in this book.
Eragon comes across a blue stone and tries to sell the stone. One night he starts to hit the stone and the stone opened revealing a dragon. Eragon then starts to take care of the dragon and they both become close. The Urgals found out about Eragon having a dragon and began tracking him. While fleeing, Eragon comes across a few interesting characters that wish to help him.
I enjoyed the story and the characters in this book. Bruno was my favorite character. I feel bad for the children that they had no idea what was going on. This was a very touching story and a great story for the time period.
Bruno comes home one day to the maid packing up his belongings. He finds out that his family is leaving Berlin. Bruno does not like this new place until he meets someone on the other side of the fence. They become friends and go on an adventure together. Touching!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very interesting story. I didn't think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. Can't wait to read the second book!
In the beginning of the story, we meet orphans Alina and Mal. Both of them are tested and it comes back that they have no powers. The story then goes to a few years later when both of them have started their jobs. Alina's life then changes. She finds out that she does have powers. She is separated from Mal and goes to learn to become Grisha. The Darkling takes her under his wing and that is when everything goes crazy.
I really enjoyed this second book as much if not more than the first. This book is different because it sets up each section in "now" and "then" chapters. I did like that it was set up that way, but I had to get used to it.
Lena just made it into The Wilds and comes across a group that she stays with throughout the book. Lena also in a sense goes undercover to help the group. She is still trying to get over Alex, but then comes across a boy named Julian. Can you say boy drama?
